About Us

Aonach ar Siúl, Nenagh Walking Club, was founded in 2000 and is based in Nenagh, Co Tipperary. The club is managed by a voluntary committee elected at the AGM. Currently we have over 80 members and are affiliated to Mountaineering Ireland. Club members have the benefit of Mountaineering Ireland membership, which includes insurance.

Most of our walks take place in North Tipperary and surrounding areas, with walks every second Sunday. We also have a Tuesday evening walk and evening hill walks throughout the summer. During the year we organize weekend trips to Kerry, Wicklow, Clare, West Cork and Connemara.  In recent years we have visited the South of France, the English Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Our walks are of different grades to cater for all types of walkers.
